Coffee & Crochet is a warm, inclusive space for makers, friends, and anyone craving a place to slow down and connect.

We’re part gift shop, part lounge and community space — supporting local fiber artists and artisans, offering yarn and crochet/knitting supplies, and serving Undergrounds Coffee through our self-serve bar. Our space is cozy, creative, and open to everyone exactly as they are.

Nestled in the back of the shop is Untangled Roots :: Reiki & Beyond, where gentle, restorative energy healing sessions take place in our peaceful back-room sanctuary.

Whether you're here to stitch, sip, shop, gather, learn, or simply unwind, you're always welcome to settle in, get comfortable, and make yourself at home. No class or appointment required — just bring your project, your curiosity, or your need for a cozy moment, and stay as long as you'd like.

Our Story:
How This Cozy Little Space Came to Be

Coffee & Crochet + Untangled Roots was created by Shannon and Evlena — two soul sisters and lifelong creative spirits who share a vision of a space where people can gather, slow down, heal, and feel genuinely connected.

The journey to this space is as unexpected as it is meaningful.

A few years ago, Shannon experienced a serious fall that left her recovering from a broken knee and ankle. During that time, she taught herself to crochet — one stitch becoming the next, creativity becoming comfort, and comfort becoming community. As she healed, she met more crocheters who felt the same pull toward connection, learning, and shared creativity.

The idea of a cozy place where people could sip coffee, stitch together, and build community stayed with her… just a quiet dream in the back of her mind.

Then life opened a door.

An unexpected opportunity appeared — the kind that feels almost too aligned to overlook.

Shannon knew she had to reach out, so she called Evlena immediately.

At the time, Evlena was nurturing her healing work through Untangled Roots :: Reiki & Beyond, welcoming clients into her home for sessions centered on connection, release, and genuine support. The moment she stepped into the shop, she felt it — a sense of rightness, of “this is meant for us.” She instantly imagined creating a healing sanctuary in the quiet back room.

It felt like both visions — stitching and healing — had found their home.

None of this was planned.
None of it was forced.
It unfolded in a way that made its purpose unmistakable.

Today, Coffee & Crochet + Untangled Roots is a cozy corner in South Buffalo where creativity and healing live side by side — a space shaped by intention, community, and the belief that people thrive when they have somewhere warm and welcoming to land.
